Peal of bells at Southwark Cathedral for VE Day 'moment of noise'

The bells of Southwark Cathedral rang out on Saturday morning at 11am as part of a nationwide 'moment of noise' to mark the 70th anniversary of Victory in Europe (VE) Day.

A 'Victory oak' tree has been planted alongside the Soviet War Memorial in Geraldine Mary Harmsworth Park to mark the 70th anniversary of the end of the Second World War in Europe.
