Explore the Millennium Mile

To coincide with the opening of the Southwark Information Centre a free Explore the Millennium Mile guide has been published suggesting a walk along the riverside and a 'green path' taking in The Cut, Union Street, Flat Iron Square and Borough Market.

The leaflet, which includes two money off vouchers for the Globe Exhibition and Hayward Gallery, is a joint promotion by the South Bank Employers' Group, Bankside Business Partnership, Pool of London Partnership and Lambeth and Southwark Councils.

Tourism Minister Janet Anderson began the May Holiday weekend by calling in at the new Southwark Information Centre which has opened on the corner of Duke Street Hill at the end of London Bridge.
The Centre is hoping to serve both tourists and residents. There is a bookshop, local history artefacts and a wide range of free literature including copies of in SE1.
