Founder’s Place consultation launch

London SE1 website team

Plans for the redevelopment of Royal Street opposite St Thomas' Hospital have gone on show.

Founders Place

The Royal Street Partnership of Taylor Woodrow Developments and Genesis Housing Group has devised the key worker accommodation for both sides of Royal Street to be branded Founder's Place. This is an old route which once linked Rochester Place, the Bishop of Rochester's London house, with Stangate Stairs on the river.

The site would include private housing and a Ronald MacDonald House built on the former Lambeth Palace kitchen garden just north of Archbishop's Park. The masterplan architects are Terry Farrell and Partners.

An exhibition of the scheme, which is due to go before Lambeth Council this summer, can be viewed on site until 4pm on Thursday 12 June. The exhibition entrance is in Carlisle Lane.
