Sharon Golding has been appointed as the new manager of Elephant & Castle Shopping Centre.

Sharon Golding, previously at the St Nicholas Shopping Centre in Sutton, succeeds long-serving Elephant & Castle Shopping Centre manager Mike Knell.

The manager is responsible for the complex's 110 tenants, including those in Hannibal House, the office building located above the centre, as well as the recently refurbished car park.

"The centre offers everything from bowling and bingo to food and fashion; and with it being close to being fully let I am looking forward to increasing its trading potential," said Sharon Golding.

"I want to raise awareness of what we have to offer to local people and will begin by planning an events programme to help celebrate this vibrant community."

The centre's owners, Key Property Investments, say they plan "significant new buildings and extensive refurbishment" at the centre which will be 50 years old in 2015.
