12-year-old girl injured in Old Kent Road motorbike collision

A 12-year-old girl is being treated in hospital after she was hit by a motorbike in Old Kent Road on Wednesday evening.

The collision happened just after 6.15pm on Wednesday near the junction of Old Kent Road and Dunton Road.

Police officers and the London Amulance Service were called to the scene.

The child – a 12 year old girl – was taken to hospital. Her condition was initially described as critical but now her injuries are not believed to be life-threatening. She remains in hospital under observation.

The motorcyclist involved in the collision was not seriously injured but also remains in hospital.

Old Kent Road was closed to traffic for several hours, leading to significant disruption to traffic and local bus services.
