Sadiq Khan urged to hire cat to tackle City Hall mouse problem

Mayor of London Sadiq Khan has been urged to consider getting a cat to tackle a rodent problem at City Hall.

"10 Downing Street, The Treasury and the Foreign Office all now have cats," said Labour London Assembly member Tom Copley.

He has tabled a question to the mayor: "Given the problem with mice in the building will you consider getting a cat for City Hall, preferably rehoming one from Battersea Dogs and Cats Home?"

Sadiq Khan's response will be published later this month.
