Refreshing
My partner and I visited this lovely cool venue last week and had a great time. We arrived a little early and went to the bar for a drink 1st and the entertaining barstaff served up a couple of fantastic Mojitos. After moving into the restaurant we were sat in a great location by the windows. The menu is a little on the small side and the wine list on the large side but the food we had was delicious. I ate the squid for starter and my partner had the goats cheese salad. Our mains were sea bass and pousin chicken with chorizo. We couldn't really fault the food to be honest. There was some live music on also which was unexpected and gave a nice touch to the evening. We wil be going back and taking friends next time.
All change and not looking good
We've been to Benugo at the back of the BFI on several occasions and it was good. But it seems to be a victim of its own success. These days it is overpriced, service is just about okay and the atmosphere is out of control. So much for a sensible venue at the South Bank!
Not bad for the South Bank!
We tried out the new BFI Benugo restaurant on a Friday night. We were able to book, which is helpful, and if you are a BFI member you get a 10% discount on food, which is even more helpful!

The place was busy and buzzy. Service was a bit slow but the waiting staff were helpful. Given that this is a trendy new spot in Destination South Bank, the food was good and the prices not bad.

The bar was packed and noisy but in the restaurant section you felt at some distance from the chaos. We certainly enjoyed the experience well enough to go again.
