Reviews of Tas

I love Turkish food, but Tas just doesn't quite cut it for me. For what you get it is expensive and to be quite honest there are kebab shops that offer better food and obviously better value. On the occasions I have been I found the service a little off as well.
Having said that the restaurant itself is quite nice and the range of dishes they offer is hard to beat. if you are trying Turkish food for the first time you are spoilt for choice and can try new things. But otherwise i would give it a miss

Went to Tas on Saturday night - nice enough but the portion control seems mean. Chicken Shish was 5 relatively small pieces of chicken, does not represent good value.

Having been to Tas on numerous occassions with varying group sizes I have always found the quality very consistent and the staff very friendly and efficient.

Admittedly the live music is not always to my taste, but it does go with the atmosphere.

The only branch of Tas to have a big selection of meat kebabs. Mrs I has frequent longings for their Iskender kebab, and it is excellent (especially as it is enormous, so I usually get plenty of opportunity to "help").
