Boris being Boris, again. At least he had the good humour to claim to have staged it, and it has resulted in some useful publicity for Thames21. I volunteered for a similar clearing exercise on a different section of the south London river network a few days before, which was exhausting, partly as a result of taking place on what turned out to be one of the hottest days so far this year; but it was rewarding. At least we were shown the route to avoid the deeper sections of the water....
