I am looking to pick up half a dozen cheap low stools just for use at an event this weekend.

Anyone spotted any at any cheap shops in the neighbourhood, maybe on Walworth Road or Old Kent Road?

Just a suggestion but why not ask a local school or church if they can lend you some instead of buying just for a one off event?

Good idea, although with no prior connections at a church or school, not sure it would be appropriate.

Perhaps you could make a donation to a church or school for the loan?

For adults or children? If children, the pound shop in the Elephant had some small plastic ones earlier in the year (will only hold the weight of a small child) they also had some standard height ones too. Ikea have some fairly sturdy plastic ones at 4.99 http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/90176641#/70050812/ You might be able to sell them on ebay afterwards?

Thanks very much. I did it the old fashioned way, by trawling my neighbours. Nice woman downstairs has lent me six stacking stools.

Using them at my stall at The Vintage Festival this weekend.
