Does anyone know what the barge that is moored infront of Butlers Wharf is there for? Its large, black and has lots of metal frames on it.
I'm guessing it's going to be used to launch fireworks from, and that this will be celebrating the Olympics. If anyone knows the what, why and when I'd love to know.
Thanks in advance...

Do you mean this barge?
If so, it delivered the Olympic rings for Tower Bridge last weekend

That's the one! Thanks James, mystery solved...
We haven't had fireworks in the Pool of London for ages, which is probably a good thing. I was full of trepidation about the affect a full on firework display could have on my baby daughters sleep patterns (along with the regular Chinook Helicopter assaults on the peace).
