I notice here (London SE1 News) that there's going to be an 'evening food fair' as part of the Waterloo Food Festival.

It ends at 7pm which, to my mind, is an odd definition of 'evening', as well as being ridiculously early to eat dinner.

Similarly, tonight's LGBT forum starts at 1830.

Just sometimes, it would be nice to have a community event that members of the community who work somewhere else can get to.

I agree with you as I struggle with anything before 7.30pm, but perhaps these events are also to attract SE1 workers as well as SE1 residents, so you can't please everybody. Just a thought ...

Fair enough, Juanita, but the Waterloo Food Festival doesn't have any weekend events, or any weekday event that runs after about 1900.

It isn't the case that they are looking for SE1 workers as well as SE1 residents, they've done nothing at all to engage with large numbers of SE1 residents many of whom, presumably, have some disposable income to spend in local venues.

Their loss, I guess.
