Making a gift for someone and would like to have about 55 pages bound - ideally in leather.
Are there any local crafts people who could do this?
Any hints or tips appreciated.

I don't know of anything locally, but I have been into a wonderful paper shop that is on the road that runs up to Russell Square. If you take the 188 and get off at the stop before the square, it is just on the other side of the road. If they don't do bookbinding they'll certainly know a man who does...

I think have/had a bookbinding premises in Gt Guildford Street. You could also ask

Or try Morley college as they provide bookbinding classes - you may be able to find a student with reasonable prices.

The shop Eleanor mentions is Falkiners (web link in my post above). I don't know if their bookbinding premises is still in Great Guildford Street but I'm sure they'll tell you.

All the suggestions are in SE1. As well as Morley College you could try the Floodlight website for other college courses being held in the area - again you might find a student with reasonable prices that could bind your book for you. Good luck.

Richard Scales at the Document Centre is another more local option on Southwark Bridge Road:
