I'm looking for a venue around Bermondsey to hold a Children's birthday party (2 year olds). I know about Bermondsey Village Hall, is there anywhere else that people would recommend? Perhaps something a bit more upmarket without costing the earth?
Also, looking for recommendations on local caterers, entertainers and cake makers all specialising in kiddies. Any ideas on decoration also very welcome!
Just over the border in SE16, the Surrey Quays Shopping Centre's "Discovery Planet" do children's parties.
I have seen kids having a great time in there but you would need to check it out. Handy for buses (188, 47, 381, etc) and Canada Water tube is 5 mins away.
You can try this place, has secure outdoor space too and a bouncy castle on offer.. the centre is designed for a nursery and has children's washroom too.
Not SE1, but not too far - a few years ago friends organised a children's birthday party at the Crystal Palace Sports Centre. I don't remember if it's the event called TODDLERS WORLD, but it sounds familiar and the children had huge fun.
The Surrey Docks Farm is a good location. We had a 2nd Birthday there, with donkey rides. They have a large room for hire and the children can run around the farm afterwards. They will also cater, but we brought our own food and drink in.
Surrey Docks farm is great. Ellen Brown Centre is good. I personally have done loads at Berm Village Hall and like it. I had my son's at Ellen Brown last year and we used these guys, who were great:
