Think Apartments have flats on Tower Bridge Road, Bermondsey St and Long Lane. Excellent quality and very reasonable.

I had a letter through my door today (addressed to me) asking if i'd like to let my (or our/social housing)flat out when i'm away,I might take them up on that and dish the proceeds to a few people having to pay the bedroom tax.

They are called "onefinestay".

i just checked out onefinestay. our flat is definately not posh enough or decorated well enough. How do people make their houses look like magazines and sustain that look? Surely they get given lots of knick knacks as gifts? Dont they have a man cave?

Sorry to digress. Will butt out now.

I can second airbnb. Have hired a self contained studio flat through them in Paris and a room in a loft in Manhatten. Both times I was really pleased with my choice / the result. Saying that, I spent a lot of time researching and finding 'the right places' for me before committing to a booking.

How about this place:

It's not SE1, just below E&C, but it seems pretty nice.
