Greetings to London SE1. Some time ago I managed to log into a site which reunited people who had worked in the Marshalsea Road No Fixed Abode Social Security Office in the early 1970s. I've no idea how I got connected to that site so I do not have those contact details, but does anyone here remember that office? I did work experienced there in my early 20s and the people were brilliant, I've never forgotten them.
And also the herbal shop Baldwins at the Elephant and Castle that sold the best ever green maté tea and honey and sasaparilla? I believe Baldwins relocated which is great as for a long time after I moved out of the area I imagined the huge rebuilding and road regeneration at the Elephant & Caste might have put the shop out of business.

Baldwins is still going thank goodness, an d the sarsaparilla is still wonderful. They had to move out of the lovely old atmospheric shop on the corner of Elephant road, walworth road end. Moved just past walworth town hall into two shops...
