Fiona at Cupboards by Design is utterly AMAZING. Works with you on a design, turns up when she says she will and finishes exactly on time. Also a creative, lateral thinker who has the gift of foresight and comes up with solutions to problems you didn't even know you had.

After having a very bad, very expensive experience with a carpenter who comes widely recommended on this forum, I found Fiona quite by accident and now use her for all my carpentry needs which are considerable after a recent house renovation. And she's a lady carpenter which us just awesome :)

Apologies for bumping an older thread - does anyone have any further thoughts on home carpentry?

We're looking to get some cupboards made - we want something that looks good but not hideously expensive.
