An elderly Auntie of mine may have to go to a hospice, will she have to lose her pension that she and her husband (now deceased) worked hard for?

I don't think she will, Jan. Hospice care is medical/nursing care as opposed to social care and so I don't think she will have to pay, but best to check.

Hi Jan, "Hospital Downrating" as it was called was abolished 9 years ago so her State Pension will not be affected ( if it is her State Pension you mean )

Thank you Gavin and Micky, I personally dont think she will hang on much longer...but I remember talking to her about the subject of having a reduction in her state pension last year and she was very annoyed at that! Micky I had never heard of that expression Hospital Downrating and will now Google away :-)
