Heard lot of drums etc and looked out my window to see a very colourful procession with large doll type figures , elephants and stuff all very brightly lit

had a police escort and around 150 people in it ? It stopped in the grounds of styles house for a short period then made off again

Anyone know what it was about or celebrating ?

It was this:

Part of the 'Blackfriars Stories' series of events co-sponsored by the council and property developers along the 'Blackfriars Mile' between the river and the Elephant.

That was a fab procession - loved the Jack O'Lantern. But did anyone else see about a thousand Santa Claus walking down Blackfriars Road yesterday or have I overdone the brandy in the mince pies??

I was out and about all day; must have missed them. SantaCon? Annual pub crawl. Or Santa Dash, charity race.

Ah it was Santacon, I just googled them - never heard of them before but it looks good fun!

Found a pair of glasses near the pond at Styles House. Could have been left by someone following the parade. Please ask around.
