Hi all, sorry if this has been asked before but couldn't find it.
Does anyone know what is happening to that old facade (the old post office building?) at the top end of Walworth Road (opposite where the Cuming Museum was?). It's fenced off with the logo of 'Durkan' pasted onto it. From Googling I can see that Durkan have an adjacent housing development planned (Chatfield house, the building where the Macdonald's is) but I can't see anything about this one. Does anyone know anything about it?
In Chatelaine house, there is a proposed 54 dwellings. Looks like it is over McDonald's . Mixture of dwellings. On Durkan site under proposed works. Hope this helps if you haven't seen it already..
After a lot of Googling, I've found it! it's actually an additional development alongside Chatelaine House. It's called Amelia Street. It's housing which will incorporate new shops and the Tankard pub.
If you Google:
2-16 Amelia Street, London, SE17 3PY
It's the first result which comes up in the Southwark site, this forum won't allow me to link directly to it.
