Does anyone know which brand of gym is going above the new Sainsbury's in Elephant and when it is due to open?

Not sure if it's in that location, but there is due to be a Gymbox opening in E+C in 2017...

Elephant Leisure centre is 41/month (but men can't go on Mondays)

Perhaps I'm just mean but I think 41 is a lot, particularly as it's hard to use over the weekend as it's so popular.

Do men get a discount on that price then?

i went in this week and it is 49 per month for membership. I believe as a Southwark resident i get in free Friday afternoons and at the weekend so don't think its worth joining now.

It must be difficult to sell membership to local men who, aren't allowed in on Monday evenings, and can go free on Fridays and Saturdays.
It's like 4 days for the price of 7.

I think it's free Fri-Sun, so it's actually 3 days for the price of 7.

49 seems ridiculously high.

I was interested to hear about a women only session at this gym. However, they don't have one. Men can use the sports centre on Mondays and can swim until 8pm. There is a two hour women only swimming session from 8-10pm on Mondays.
