I'm not quite sure why anyone feels the need to behave like this, but we had our car vandalised in the last 24-48 hours on Deverell Street. Someone decided to use a stone to smash the rear door window. No valuables were taken. It looked like they'd spent some time trying to cause some damage, as there were several chips on the body work and other windows suggesting that they'd given it a good go before they were successful.
Bizarrely, they didn't finish with the smashed window - the exterior of the car was then also decorated with several rolls of toilet paper. They'd stuffed toilet paper in the alloys, and put toilet rolls up the exhaust. The mind boggles.
Just a headsup to locals - there are some weirdos on the streets at the moment.
If you don't have any enemies, or ongoing disputes, this could be a case of your vehicle being mistakenly identified as belonging to someone else who does indeed have enemies.
What do the police have to say about this ugly incident?
A second car in the same street has now been vandalised in the last 24 hours in the same manner; decorated in toilet paper, toilet paper in the alloys and toilet rolls up the exhaust. No smashed windows though
