We went to the new revamped Suchard restaurant on Crucifix Lane. Now called Kin + Deum. Itís run by the kids of the owner, who now only runs the one on Tolly Street now. Itís basically a modern upgrade. The food is tasty, the kids (daughter is front of house and the son the chef) are lovely individuals and keen for diners to give feedback so they can improve on thier modern twist. They tell me dad is old fashion and will keep that style of cooking at Suchard on Tolly Street- which made me chuckle.
With all the new arrivals and those who have left after many years of doing business in the area (eg George the barbers), I think itís great that this family business is still in the area and benefitting from the gentrification thereof.
