It is ironic that you are fighting against the Tulip Tower from being built because it ruins your views, but at the same time it looks like you are going to approve 2 ugly towers to be built at the Old Bermondsey Biscuit Factory site that will ruin our community when you meet this Friday 21st Feb.
Please reconsider and don’t rush through the decision.
The design did not constitute the very highest quality of design required for a building in the location
The proximity, height and material would have a negative impact on the Tower of London World Heritage site
The space around the proposed building was insufficient to be safe and to prevent overcrowding
A lack of new cycle parking spaces failed to comply with the London Plan for transport
Same thing for Grosvenor’s plan for the Biscuit Factory in Bermondsey. Southwark council told them to take a hike. But last Friday, mayor khan over rode and approved a drab tower scheme that doesn’t benefit the local affordable housing.
