Because after a job that took longer than the channel tunnel to complete, they're finally
removing the cabins and scaffolding from Borough station.
It appears Sainsburys have had a devastating effect on that grocery shop beside the tube.
There's never anyone in there these days. I could have bought my sunday paper slightly closer
to home - such as Sainsburys - but I decided to make a small contribution to the small shop. After
all, they were handy there for years and are now suffering. Mind you, you can buy a paper or a loaf
in at least 7 places on Borough High St. How they all survive is amazing.

The shop beside the tube ('right price') is actually pretty good and sells some of the basics that sainsbury's in their wisdom have neglected to stock - ginger, colour care liqui-tabs, chick peas etc..

I hope it stays.
