you might wanna have a look in loot, but have you thought about the rspca or battersy dogs home i think that they also have cats and you would be giving the poor little thing a new lease of life. :)

I just got two black kittens from the Lewisham branch of the Celia Hammond Animal Trust. They have about 11 there at the moment, although they're slightly older than you're looking for, but given that kitten season ended a couple of months ago, you may not find any 6-8 week old kittens at present. Apparently, black kittens are harder to home than other colours.... awwww.
