Anyone eaten here recently or got any views? (Pub next to the Golden Hind)

Went there yesterday with visiting family (Friday); it took 15 minutes to get served and a further 40 minutes to get food. My 'ploughmans' consisted of bunch of grapes, an apple, couple of lettuce leaves, a piece of bread and 'thick sliced ham' (round and out of a packet). Last time I ate there (a while ago) I remember it being really good.

The fish was OK, although the chips were dry and long overcooked.

Wont go into the unhelpfulnenss of the staff...

Like sitting outside the Thameside in the Summer but avoid it the rest of the year as the food is invariably dried out & tasteless & the staff are always miserable! It's a bit of a tourist trap so they seem to be able to get away with it. Prefer the Anchor a little further along.

I completely agree. If you can get a table outside in the summer it is worth going there, but the lunches are very average oub fare.
