Is there ANYWHERE locally that has fan heaters in stock? I've traipsed round Surrey Quays, Tesco, Curry's, Comet, B&Q, checked Argos online..... with no luck whatsoever. Lots of fans in stock, though.

I dont think you need a fan heater TLMJJ, there are so many less noisy dusty appliances. Why do want something which BLOWS? any special reason?

Jackie - fan heaters scare cats. And therefore are good fun.

Birdie - thank you. I'll give you a call tonight.

Fan heaters = health problems - dust, dry air and, of course, heating bills. We bought a very neat little oil-filled radiator on castors which is extremely good and quite controllable. I believe that you can also get them with timers.

LOL - Niall, this is what most houses here in NZ are heated with. Well that and fan heaters. Kiwi's simply have no concept of decent home insulation, let alone central heating.
