Does anyone know a good GP surgery near Borough tube station that is actually open when people who go to work can get to it ? Most I have checked out are open after 9 and close before 5.30

Good luck!

When I moved to the area I was told that I had to register with the nearest practice and couldn't choose.

I am now at the princess streat pratice down the road in Elephant and have found them to be really good at fitting in appointments at the start or end of the day (they're open 9-6), recently they even offered to do a routine checkup chat over the phone to save me coming in. They're much better than previous places I've been where the receptionist talks to you like you're mad for not wanting appointments at 3pm!

The other alternative is to ring the NHS and ask them for your local practice.

I live on Southwark Bridge Road (up near Borough Road) and am registered at the Columbo Street practice (0207 928 6216, Dr Barnard is very good). I imagine Borough might be within their catchment area as well. They are open until 6.30 most days and the receptionists are pretty friendly, which I've found to be a bit of a novelty for GP's in London. No connection, except as a satisfied patient!
