James (or anybody else) could you recommend a local architect who would take on a smallish project (rear extension and new bathroom)?

I have emailed a few and they are either busy, think the project is too small or don't reply.

Kind regards

Oh, what a shame! You've just missed RIBA's Architect in the House scheme, where you get an hour-long consultation with an architect in return for a 35 donation to Shelter. Maybe there'll be another one next year...

Have you tried the search facility on the RIBA website? You can enter an approximate budget, so hopefully anyone they put you in touch with won't pooh pooh your proposals!

Thanks for that - I have completed the form so hopefully somebody will get back to me in due course.

A guy called Martin Warbuoys did some drawings for me last year. The drawings were good and not tooooo expensive. He's at:

C.C.J.W Architects
The Old Vicarage 94, Lambeth Rd, London, SE1 7PT

I used a very good architect called Michael Trentham. He has a web site so you can look him up.

He is excellant at planning applications and good value.

there seems to be a host of architects who live on Crucifix Lane at the top of Bermondsey St - I think number 8 Crucifix Lane is actually a small architectural practice

Although we have never used them maybe try Houlton Architects. They are our clients but are based in Tanner street so are certainly local:-
