I am looking for a reliable local odd-job man for about 1 days work in Borough SE1 - putting up shelves, plumbing in a dishwasher and washing machine, wiring in a hob & oven, changing over dimmer swicthes and putting up a new clothes rail in a wardrobe ! Anyone who can be recommended would be appreciated !

If you have a few jobs that need doing, you might think about Handysquad.

No connection, and not that cheap if all you want doing is a single job, but good quality and they turn up on time ! I find they are most economical if you save up a few little jobs and get them to do them all together.

Thanks for the info there but 280 for a days work is a bit too pricey ! Anyone any other recommendations ?

I've used Fantastic Services for a while now. I like the price policy, which is very clear, the fact that you can book online, etc.
However in the last few months I found it has been a nightmare to contact them on the phone. They have an online chat which is really good, but sometimes when things go wrong and you need to explain a problem, you really want to talk to somebody and their phone is always busy.
