I'm looking for a barber in SE1 to tend to my (increasingly non-existent) locks. Any good tips? I tend to go for the cheap, quick and experienced sort of cutter, rather than the "I am an artist - I can change your life" hair consultant. I've been going to a guy in Bayswater for ten years, but it's a bit of a hike. He does a good job for £10, and while I'm happy to spend more than that I'd be delighted to spend the same or less!
The best barber in SE1 is called Nero and he works in the Barbershop Kardo on Tower Bridge Road, next door to the Lebanese butcher.
He is hugely popular in the neighbourhood, not only because of his skills but also because he is a tremendously nice guy. He is the 'housebarber' of The Jam Factory, where I live, and everybody is raving about him!
