I was going to go to Sainsburys in Victoria but decided
to wait until coming home and get tomorrows fry-up in
the borough branch. Big mistake, all their fridges are out
of order and no bacon, sausages or any cold items on the
shelves. And the eggs all had a use by date of 30th July,
which meanns they have been on the shelves since the
store opened on the 9th. And no robinsons lemon squash.
Ok it's handy for emergencies but overall they haven't got
anything that wasn't previously available 100 yds down the

Why not cross over the road and use the small corner shop/off licence opposite. The guys in there are friendly and even knocked off 6p from my last purchase and kept an eye on my bike precariously abandoned without lock outside. I'd go to them any day as well also found the sainsbury's to be short of stock/past sell by date.

Local grocers deserve support.

Spar does a great job nationwide.

We have friends who live in the Scottish countryside and they have a Spar open 10:00-22:00 seven days a week. Great company.

There is a Spar at Dockhead in Bermondsey which I do my best to support.

When you don't have a car, the big supermarkets lose their attractiveness.
