Just sent a strongly worded letter to Southwark Council because of this photo.

Not only is my council tax way too high - but now I am not allowed to do any sit-ups or use a running machine - outrageous.

Remember to WALK, if you run you might get fined!

Oh that's brilliant. Love it!

Is that down near Bermondsey tube station? I noticed it a few weeks ago and chuckled to myself. I wonder how it managed to get through the Council bureaucracy without anyone realising it makes no sense at all (unless they mean that exercising is as verboten as letting your dog foul the streets!).

Yep, good spot!

Turn left out of Burm-On-Sea tube station, it's about 50 metres down the road.

Anyone else got any photos of signs that are an affront to English?? - I love 'em!! (sic)

The sign has gone!

Vanished - I have some theories:

1) Southwark Council removed it and placed it in their sign writers office as an example of how not to do it

2) Someone stole it and it's currently on their loo wall

3) It's on Ebay for fifty quid

It's been there for several years and always made me laugh - somewhat cynically, knowing the source. Strange how it has disappeared.

Some years ago, I was proudly presented with a sign from The Signage department [probably manned by plumbers] for a local Toddlers Playpark:

No Children Under 12........

No one had noticed, including the Estate Manager!

I rest my case :-)

Did some shopping in "The Olive" - my local shop on Queen Elizabeth Street.

I am able to self levitate and so I floated around as normal.

Imagine my horror when I read this sign attached to the Deli fridge.

BsB : a little bit disingenious, you will know they are having problems with the vinyl flooring buckling.

Actually - it's a bit of a hazard staggering around with a Lindl green basket with the wavy floor thing - hence my levitation trick
