I saw a sign out side there today saying the lease was for sale?

Anyone know anything??

I know that their Sunday roast is excellent but that their lime creme brulee is always, always too runny.

Gosh Mapmaker, what an interesting site...I almost bought three pubs. Fancy the Hartley guy wanting to transfer's rather successful I would think. Probably he just got bored. Hope someone decent takes it over, it's so nice.

I know... I *nearly* registered to get more information.

I guess that as he wants over 200k for the transfer of the lease that he's going to take his profit and repeat the trick.

The Hartley is my local and never really seems busy, except for diners on a Friday evening. It's certainly got the potential to be a great pub, but seems strangely lacking something (customers aside).

I always found it a bit unfriendly in there - like it was trying a bit too hard. We also had some awful, slow service on busy nights - and we haven't been back for over a year.

Does anybody know what happened to the main cook at The Hartley?

I really miss him...

I'm not sure -- is the food still good?

Beer? I mean, how difficult is it for a "gastropub" to sell draught beer?
