Thanks James and a great thank you to Rich Wale who provides such stunning photographs, past and present to the Se1 site.
I didn't have that exact photo but Rich has taken my husband and myself on a vitual journey back to the present day Peabody though his skill and kindness. We've also received photographs of 'how it was' in our neighbourhood which are also treasured.
For those of us living abroad these glimpses of our old homes are invaluable and words can't express our gratitude to Rich and his wife for making such a contribution to local history.
A picture is worth a thousand words. If anyone deserves an O.B.E. then surely Rich Wale should head the list.
