has anyone ever bought these? I found a couple of frames which I have ordered - very cheap designer frames. There are also one or two places offering single vision lenses for an extra 25. OK Specsavers may be cheaper, but they seem to have 'different' and interesting frames, particularly on Ebay. Any experiences, anyone?

My daughter got hers from a company called glasses direct and was very pleased with them. no good if you need bifocals/varilux because then you pay about 100 to get someone to visit you to take accurate pupil measurements etc. because I was interested in getting some.

Asda have a good basic range too.

I ordered a couple of frames from Ebay - I think they are end of lines, a Versace frame and one from Nicole Farhi, but under 30 each. I shall try and get the lenses from Specsavers, but there is also a company on Ebay which does the lenses too and fantastic (some new, some recycled)'fifties frames, like white cat's eye etc. I shall report back with my experience when they come. I shall have a look at glasses direct, thanks, Jan.
