I just saw on the News that there is a plan to build an unfinshed tower in the middle of Westminster Abby.
I have to say am not sure it's a good idea. if they did do it it would have to be absolutely stunning,
And as far as I'm aware any alterations to Westminster abbey have to be approved by the Queen.
My understanding is that the Corona item (whatever it will be) will mark the spot where monarchy is crowned, and has been since the 1300s.
So, Charles will be the next to be under the new Corona thing-a-me and you can be damn sure he will not want to be standing under a carbuncle when he is made "His Maj".
isn't he a bit old already though? - I though he'd maybe abdicate straight to William, or if he really does want to be king, he could be King for a year, say, and then let Wills have a go.
it's not really something we have to think about any time soon though, as the Queen's going to live to be 106 anyway!
