Iím actually incandescent with rage about this, if the temperature today had been what is predicted for Thursday we could have seen buildings bursting into flames,
Its bad enough the the building is ugly.

Who new about this problem at the time the building was ?????

A first given planning permission by New Labour and Ken Livingston

B given the go-ahead to start construction under the current coalitions and Mayor Boris Johnston

Putting up a temporary screen isn't going to brush this under the carpet

The Building is the product of Pure greed
and badly designed

and should never have been built.

welcome back Micky Salt! it's been too long.

apparently the architect did to solar analysis, but this aspect was missed. As the sun changes angle over the year, this hot spot is going to move and other places may be in danger.
They might have to make certain windows less reflective, or else misalign some of them by a few millimetres each to stop there being a focal point.

somebody should really have picked up on this earlier though.

Whoa... Have to say, good to see they sorted everything out with the car owner immediately, but still. Must have been a shock! Also very curious to know how they're going to prevent this from happening in the future...

Sometimes brilliant people are so carried away with their inventions and designs the blinding obvious is pun intended..
