Southwark Theatres Education Partnership (STEP) is seeking expressions of interest from individuals who might be interested in taking on this pivotal and challenging Advocacy role as Chair.

STEP offers children and young people opportunities for creative learning through the provision of theatre and drama. We are seeking an energetic, visionary and committed individual to become involved at a strategic level in helping to take STEP to the next level in terms of its profile, partnerships and positioning - both within Southwark as well as linking in with the wider pan-London networks.

The ideal candidate is likely to have worked at a Senior Management level within the Arts and/or Cultural Industries and have considerable experience of Strategic and Business Planning. He/she may be involved with the Business sector and will certainly be able to demonstrate a keen awareness of how Corporates function and the ways they interface with the Arts/Cultural Sector.

An in depth knowledge of the Education Sector is also essential and the successful candidate may well have been a Teacher or Education Advisor at some point in their career. Above all we are seeking someone who has a strong charismatic personality and is a keen Strategist who will have the skills, experience and contacts to put STEP on the London wide map.

If you are an excellent negotiator, facilitator and true diplomat with a desire to work with a passionate and committed Consortium, you could be the person we are looking for. For further information and a job description, please email [email protected]

Please note there is no remuneration for this position - it is a voluntary post.

The deadline for expressions of interest is Friday 28th April. This will consist of a CV and covering letter outlining your interest and suitability for the post. We hope to appoint in May.
