Illuminated River

Join Sarah Gaventa, Director of the Illuminated River Foundation to learn more about the Illuminated River project, a public art commission which is transforming the capital at night.
The first four Illuminated River bridges - London, Cannon Street, Southwark and Millennium were illuminated last summer, with the next five bridges Blackfriars Road, Waterloo, Golden Jubilee, Westminster and Lambeth bridges due to be completed this spring.

Over the course of 45 minutes, learn more about the artwork, our focus on wellbeing and the benefits of enjoying blue spaces, the history of the bridges and how the team installed such an ambitious project on a working river.

Sarah will be on hand to answer any questions that you might have, from what the toughest part of the project has been so far to which bridge the team are most excited to light.
