Real Greek Souvlaki & Bar

This is a first new restaurant since Clapham House aquired The Real Greek which was founded by Theodore Kyriakou who lives in Bermondsey and founded Livebait in The Cut.

The Real Greek Souvlaki & Bar in SE1, next to Bear Gardens, is open from 9am to 11pm offering coffee with cake as well as meals costing around £10. The menu includes semolina cake, infused in a citrus syrup, served with cream and warm Greek honey soaked doughnuts served with the distinctive youghurt.

There are also seasonal Greek snacks and plenty of grilled flatbread with white, rather than pink, taramosalata. The cocktail list includes frozen ouzo mojitos on tap.

There are 180 seats in an informal decor with a Greek influence. High seats in the window allow for a river view and there are a further 60 seats outside.
