Royal Oak through to awards final
The Royal Oak in Tabard Street has won its way through to the final of the Evening Standard Pub of the Year shortlist.
The Market Porter lost out in the judging and the Baltic in Blackfriars Road has also dropped off the Best Bars list leaving SE1 with no entries in the Bar awards.
SE1's Royal Oak is up against just four other London pubs including Ye Olde Cheshire Cheese in Fleet Street.
Sir Tim Rice and artist Jonathan Yeo will be in the final judging team visiting each pub. The result is expected to announced in March.
