Access to Art, the charity which enables disabled art lovers to get to the galleries, held a sponsored walk this weekend between Tate Modern and Tate Britain.
Beneficiaries of the charity took part in their wheelchairs including three 90-year-olds.
Beginning at Tate Modern the two mile walk followed the Thames Path along the South Bank, crossing Lambeth Bridge and on to Tate Britain.
"‘Access to Art has made a huge difference to the quality of lives of hundreds of housebound Londoners who thought they could never get to the galleries or museums ever again," says director Jane Turner. "Our volunteers are also art lovers who provide wonderful companionship at the gallery visit as well as practical help."
