Sea Monsters 3D at BFI IMAX

Fergal Hanks & Alex Christian

This scintillating 3D film has 60 per cent amazing CGI, and great switchovers between the cretaceous, in CGI, and palaentological digs, in live action.

The film follows the life of a family of Dolichorhrynchops, known informally as 'dollies'. The main 'character' is a female dolly. She is followed from birth until death, mainly focusing on her first year. It finishes with her death of old age.

The sound and picture lead you into a fascinating world teeming with danger. My eyes were glued to the screen. I completely forgot about my sweets and for a kid that's good. Another great film at the IMAX.
