Anti-racism campaigners staged a rally outside City Hall on Tuesday in protest against the election of the British National Party's Richard Barnbrook to the London Assembly.
The event was organised by the Love Music, Hate Racism campaign and attended by trade unionists and members of left-wing groups.
After a rally with speakers including Drew McConnell from Babyshambles – who read out a statement from frontman Pete Doherty – the protestors circled City Hall led by a samba band.
Campaigners chanted "Nazis out of City Hall – smash the BNP".
