M&S shuts Simply Food store at Waterloo Station
Marks & Spencer has closed its main Simply Food store on the concourse of Waterloo Station.
Many shelves in the store were empty on Sunday evening
The shop, which was the only M&S outlet in SE1 when it opened eleven years ago, shut on Sunday night.
In recent weeks the Monsoon and WHSmith stores adjacent to M&S have also shut down.
M&S is planning a new larger store at Waterloo which will sell clothes as well as food. It is due to open next spring.
The small M&S Simply Food branch close to the former Waterloo International Terminal will remain open during the works.
