Borough Market’s Neal’s Yard is Best Small Retailer

The original Neal's Yard Dairy in Covent Garden started in 1979. Its first product was yoghurt but now cheese dominates at both locations.

The annual turnover is £5m with the British cheese being exported to America and even France. At present its seventy cheeses in stock come mainly from the south-west and Ireland.

Now the SE1 cheese store is the more famous with customers coming for not just dairy products but also the bread and organic apples in season.
