Former Oxford University Student Union President Kirsty McNeill has been selected as Prospective Parliamentary Labour Candidate for North Southwark & Bermondsey.
Earlier Kirsty McNeill had declared: "I have not sought and will not seek selection elsewhere." She is currently employed as a campaign manager in international development and if elected would be the constituency's first woman MP.
At present Liberal Democrat MP Simon Hughes holds the seat with a 9,632 majority.
