Storytelling for Families

This event is in the past. This is an archive page for reference.

Danny Scheinmann will tell stories of exile and reunion to mark the 350th anniversary of the re-admission of Jews into England.

The stories will be told in the Globe's Tent for Peace which is lined with hand-embroidered handkerchiefs designed by children from around the world. The Tent for Peace was created as part of Globe Education's Shakespeare and Islam programme of events. The designs, promoting love and peace, were inspired by the two handkerchiefs in Othello.

Storytellers from different faiths and cultures will be invited to The Tent for Peace to tell stories of peace and reconciliation during 2006-7.

Storytelling sessions include a 45 minute exploration of the Globe Theatre and a 25 minute storytelling session on the Globe stage.

Advance booking highly recommended. Please meet at the Globe Education reception desk.
